Match Preview: No. 22 Rams Finish Non-Conference Schedule this Weekend

THE WEEK
• The No. 22 Rams return to Moby Arena for three matches this weekend as they host its second CSU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
• CSU will host Albany, Xavier and Colorado over the two days.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Following this weekend, the Rams will stay in Moby Arena and start conference action on Thursday, Sept. 21 against New Mexico starting at 7 p.m.
• Two days later, CSU will host UNLV with the first serve scheduled at 1 p.m.
• Following Colorado State's eight-match homestand, it will hit the road for the next four matches at Wyoming, Air Force, Boise State and Utah State.

• The Rams enter the weekend ranked No. 22 in the AVCA poll and have an 8-1 record while carrying an eight-match winning streak.

• Head Coach Tom Hilbert could hit another milestone in his Hall of Fame career at CSU. Hilbert currently holds a 49-0 home record against other Division I Colorado volleyball programs.

• Senior Jasmine Hanna currently sits at No. 2 in kills in the modern scoring format (2008-present) with 959. She sits behind Megan Plourde (2008-12) who has 1,066 kills.

• Colorado State moved three spots to No. 22 in this week's AVCA Poll following a perfect 3-0 week, including another sweep over a Top-25 team - then-No. 16 Michigan.

• The Rams swept this week's Mountain West Player of the Week awards as Sanja Cizmic earned Offensive Player of the Week and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen received Defensive Player of the Week.
• Both awards were the first for the two players.
• The pair helped the Rams record a 3-0 record over the weekend, including a sweep over then-No. 16 Michigan.

• Kirstie Hillyer earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 4. It was the second career award for Hillyer.
• Hillyer helped the Rams post a 4-0 record from 8/28-9/3, which included a five-set win over TCU and a sweep of No. 15 FSU.
• She finished the week with 20 blocks for an average of 1.54 per set, while adding 35 kills on a .582 attack percentage.

• Colorado State swept then-No. 15 Florida State at the Home2Suites Invite, which was the first for CSU against a Top-25 opponent since 2014.
• The Rams  returned to Moby Arena six days later and swept then-No. 16 Michigan at the CSU Tournament I.
