Colorado State advances to Hall of Fame Classic title game
KANSAS CITY – It was a surgical performance by Colorado State Wednesday afternoon as they took down Boston College 86-74 in the Hall of Fame Classic.

All five starters reached double figures scoring led by Isiah Stevens 18 points. The fifth-year guard was his typical self for CSU orchestrating the well-oiled machine that is the Colorado State offense with eight of the team's 21 assists. '

Colorado State shot 55.6% for the game.

The Rams came out of the gates strong using a 9-0 run to lead 19-10 by the 14:30 mark of the first half. CSU continued to put the pressure on the Eagles with another run of 8-0, extending the lead to 14 points. By the half, Colorado State led 47-38.

In the second half, CSU held the lead around 10 points through the first 10 minutes, but Boston College had a run in them cutting it to four with 9:11 remaining.

The veteran-laden team never flinched as Joel Scott completed a chaotic sequence with the dunk and Josiah Strong hit one of his two threes to extend the lead quickly back to nine.

Scott and Strong finished the night with 12 and 15 points, respectivelyy.

Colorado State never looked back going up by as much as 17 in the closing minutes of the win.

- Joel Scott extended his double figure scoring streak to 52 games with his 12 points and seven rebounds. He added in three assists and two steals.
