FORT COLLINS, Colo. - April Thomas won the Colorado State Classic women's 5K race to lead the CSU women's squad to its second consecutive meet victory Saturday morning at the Hughes Stadium course. The men's team was led by Andres Urbina in the four mile race as they finished as the runner's up team for the second-straight week.

In the men's overall competition the team from Adams State College, who are ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II, scored a perfect 15 to win the meet. Aaron Braun, a Fort Collins native who attended Rocky Mountain High School, won the individual title with a time of 20:03.7. CSU finished second with 59 points followed by Black Hills State (80), Metro State (121), Colorado College (139) and Northern Colorado (246).

Individually for the Rams' men squad Jeremy Freed finished eighth (20:41.6), Jeff Wahl earned the ninth place spot (20:54.1) and in 17th was Scott Sanders (21:23.3).

For the championship women's squad Heather Loseke, who earned Mountain West Conference Runner of the Week honors, finished in third with a time of (18:15.4). Allison Gohl ran a time of 18:17.2 for fourth place. Kirsten Anthony (18:21.2) and Kristen Hemphill (18:39.1) finished sixth and tenth respectively.

The Rams will return to action Sept. 29 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Eugene, Ore.
