Retired Numbers

Bill Green, men's basketball, #24. Green was the school's first consensus All-American in his sport, earning honors in 1962 and '63. Green was later a first-round draft pick by the Boston Celtics. Green went on to become an award-winning educator and administrator in New York City.

Sherri Danielson, volleyball, #12. Danielson was the school's first volleyball All-American and in 1984 earned a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.

Becky Hammon, women's basketball, #25. Hammon scored more points in her illustrious four-year career than any CSU player - male or female - in history. Hammon was a two-time All-American and future WNBA all-star.

Thurman "Fum" McGraw, football, #48. McGraw was CSU's first consensus football All-American, first in 1948 and again the following season. McGraw spent more than four decades at CSU as a coach, campus administrator, and athletic director. He led CSU to its first-ever bowl game, the 1949 Raisin Bowl.

#21, Eddie Hanna, football; his number was retired in 1949 when he passed away due to cardiac arrest while riding the train back with the team following a game in Colorado Springs.
