The mission of the Ram Alumni Athletes Association is to support current student-athletes both academically and athletically, reunite and connect former teammates of all sports and eras, and honor those alumni-athletes who have achieved a standard of excellence that represents CSU at its highest level.
A small group of CSU alumni-athletes formed the Former Athletes Association in 1988 primarily as a vehicle to reunite alumni-athletes and to initiate the CSU Sports Hall of Fame. Since 1988 the organization has grown and has changed names from Former Athletes Association to Varsity Athletes Club, to Ram Alumni Athletes Association, but our goal of helping alumni-athletes to build a championship legacy for CSU athletics has not changed. Our signature event is still the Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremonies, but we now work with the CSU athletic department to support various other projects designed to help enrich the lives of the current student-athletes and to benefit our members. (see list of projects and list of membership benefits)
As a student-athlete at CSU, you were exceptional and unique. Whether your collegiate career ended last season or 60 years ago, whether you live in Colorado or on the other side of the country, you are still connected to unique and exceptional champions that are the CSU Rams. So join your fellow CSU alumni-athletes in helping sustain, encourage and support the growth and success of Ram athletics.
