LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Colorado State’s water polo roster has 17 players and nearly half of that squad, eight student-athletes, have received academic all-conference honors.

The conference in which the Rams compete, the Western Water Polo Association, made the announcement Thursday.

Those Rams honored, with 2009-10 class, majors and cumulative grade-point averages:

• Katy Armstrong (senior, human development and family studies, 3.36)
• Natalie Berge (junior, animal science, 3.22)
• Kallie Berry (sophomore, apparel and merchandising, 3.58)
• Kailin Custy (senior, psychology, 3.06)
• Maggie McShane (freshman, undeclared, 3.00)
• Aspen Rapp (junior, business and administration, 3.76)
• Jackie Sitko (freshman, biochemistry, 3.78)
• Caroline Young (freshman, animal science, 3.11)

Eligible student-athletes carried at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale), played in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests this past season, and were classified as full-time students that had completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at their institutions.
