LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Coming off a weekend where she led her team to a 3-1 record, senior defender Kallie Berry has been named the KAP7 WWPA Co-Player of the Week.
Berry scored 10 goals in four games at the Loyola Marymount Invitational, one being the game-winning score against Pacific. The Rams scored twice in the final 80 seconds, including Berry’s sealer with 31 ticks remaining, to pull out the win.
On the weekend, the team captain also recorded nine assists, eight steals and six ejections drawn.
The Long Beach, Calif., native ranks 13th in the NCAA in goals per game this season (1.6), fourth in assists per game (1.4), and third in steals per contest (2.4). She looks to finish her career as one of the most prolific players in program history, currently ranking in CSU’s top five in all statistical categories: goals (fifth), assists (fourth), field blocks (second), total points (third), ejections drawn (third) and steals (fourth).
Berry shares the honor with UC San Diego’s Sarah Lizotte, who also scored 10 goals.
The Rams, riding a two-game winning streak, return to the pool next weekend to compete in the Cal State Bakersfield Tournament.
