RAMS HOST NO. 12 MICHIGAN WEDNESDAY
The Colorado State (8-5) water polo team will host No. 12 Michigan (5-0) Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC) in Fort Collins. This is the fourth meeting, the second of the 2006 season, between the Wolverines and the Rams. The Rams saw Michigan earlier this year at the Michigan Kick-Off in Ann Arbor, losing the match 12-5.
Rams Go 3-0 at Air Force Tournament
The Colorado State women's water polo team went 3-0 at the Air Force tournament last weekend. The Rams opened up the tournament with a 9-7 win over the University of Colorado then faced tournament host Air Force winning 10-2. The Rams added a another win to the day when they defeated Colorado College 17-6.
White Sets Single Game Goals Record
CSU's Laurien White set a new school record with five goals in the Rams' win over Colorado College Saturday. CSU's previous school record was four set numerous times.
Quinn Continues Scoring Streak
Colorado State sophomore Annie Quinn continued her school-record scoring streak recording goals in her last eight matches dating back to CSU's February 5th game versus Indiana.
Holly Stanfill is ranked sixth in the nation in saves in the Top-30 rankings. Offensively, Annie Quinn is ninth and Laurien White ranks 31st. Colorado state also ranks 20th in goals scored and ninth in team defense allowing only 63 goals in their first 10 matches.
Colorado State continues a three-match homestand when they host La Verne Saturday at 1 p.m. The Rams then entertain Penn State Behrend on March 9 at 6 p.m.
Versus Ranked Foes
Colorado State is 0-3 against teams currently ranked in the CWPA Top 20 with losses to Michigan, Indiana and Santa Clara.
