FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Colorado State middle blocker Brieon Paige has earned third-team all-national honors from COBRA. The magazine made the announcement last week.

Paige, a redshirt junior from Sacramento, Calif., was named to the magazine’s national team after earning all-West region honors earlier in the season for the second consecutive year. She is one of 16 players represented on the third team.

COBRA celebrates the success of volleyball players of African as well as Samoan and Tongan descent in hopes of encouraging young girls of those ethnic groups across the country to pursue the sport.

Paige completed her junior year with 227 kills, fourth-most on the team, and was second in blocks with 1.02 per set. She also finished Mountain West play ranked first with a .362 hitting percentage.

The daughter of Paula and Stephone Paige, who played football at Fresno State and 12 years in the NFL, She is majoring in communications.
