Curtis Oliver joins the CSU Rams volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2011 season.
He will assist in all facets of the program, while primarily serving as an on-court coach at practices and matches.
Over the past two years, Oliver has been busy coaching the Colorado Performance top U18 girl's club team and Regis High School's freshman team. Last season, Oliver also led the boy's volleyball program at Eaglecrest High School.
Growing up in Santa Barbara, Calif., Oliver competed for Dos Pueblos High School, followed by two seasons at Santa Barbara City College. His final two years of collegiate volleyball were played at Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colo. While at JWU, Oliver helped the Wildcats qualify for the NAIA national tournament both seasons, while earning first-team all-conference and team MVP honors as a senior.
Oliver graduated from JWU in 2010 with a degree in sports entertainment & event management.
