Tennis preview: Colorado State competes at ITA Mountain Regionals
Oct. 10, 2012 By Cara Maio FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State women's tennis team is in Las Vegas, Nev., this week to compete in the ITA Mountain Regionals for its final tournament of the fall season. The tournament begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday. More than 120 players will compete this week at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus. The Mountain Regional is one of 24 USTA/ITA Regional Championships for NCAA Division I men and women taking place over two weekends. The singles and doubles champions from the regionals will advance to the 2012 USTA/ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, on Nov. 8-11 in New York. The first round begins Wednesday at 9 a.m. PT. A second round of singles will follow, and doubles are scheduled to begin Thursday, followed by another round of singles. There will be consolation draws in singles and doubles to allow the players to play at least two matches. Head Coach Jon Messick will send seven players to compete. Schedule of Play
