Alyssa Cohen is an accomplished tennis player who will assist Colorado State’s coaching staff this year.

She has represented the United States in several international competitions. Her long list of achievements in the sport includes being named the champion at the ITF Group 1 Reebok Cup in Venezuela. She also was an ITF Group A quarterfinalist at the Banana Bowl in Brazil and the Italian Junior Championships.

In doubles play, she won the ITF Group 1 Coffee Bowl in Costa Rica and the 25K event in Hamilton, Canada. She ranked as high as No. 11 in singles on the ITF Junior Circuit in 2000, No. 281 in singles on the WTA Tour in 2003, and No. 225 in doubles on the WTA Tour in 2003. Cohen was nominated for the Florida Tennis Association Player of the Year Award in 2000 and has been sponsored by such companies as Nike, Wilson, and Prince.

She graduated as the valedictorian of the Boca Raton Preparatory School class of 2001 and currently attends Colorado State.
