Rams Roll to 6-1 Victory Over Air Force

The Colorado State tennis team gained its second Mountain West Conference victory of the season with a 6-1 win over Air Force Sunday in Laramie, Wyoming.

The Rams captured wins in five of six singles positions and won the doubles point by winning two of three matches on the day.

Emily Kirchem gained her second straight win at No. 1 singles with a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) win over Kat Bushey while Anne Andersen, Carla Pallares, Alexandra Paganetti and Jasmin Singh all captured straight-set victories in the contest.

In doubles action, the Rams won the No. 1 and No. 3 positions to claim the point with 8-2 and 8-5 wins and an 8-6 loss.

Colorado State improves to 11-5, 2-3 MWC on the season and will return to Fort Collins for a four-match homestand beginning with an April 8 meeting with UTEP at 1 p.m. at Rollad Moore Park.
