FORT COLLINS, Colo. – After a two-week road trip facing five tough opponents, the Colorado State tennis team looks to turn its season around Saturday, against the Saint Louis Billikens inside Miramont Lifestyle Fitness South.

Action begins at 5 p.m. Live scores are available at this link.

The Rams (3-6, 0-0 Mountain West) are coming off two losses last weekend, to No. 49 Nebraska and No. 42 Tulsa. CSU began its spring season on a high note, winning three of its first four matches, but has fallen in its last five contests.

“We are definitely working hard in practice to change some things that we are doing tactically and technically in order to try and bring our game up to higher level,” Head Coach Jon Messick said. “We are really working hard on trying to learn from the losses we have had the past couple of weeks and figure out what we need to do better. Saint Louis is going to be a tough team and we are expecting a tough match.”

After a three-match homestand, CSU left home to visit Las Cruses, N. M., El Paso, Texas, and most recently Lincoln, Neb., over a two-week span. But now the Rams look to get their season back on track, playing at home, where they are currently undefeated.

“Definitely good to be back at home,” Messick added. “We have done well at home. It will be good to play in Miramont with our fans.”

Last weekend in Lincoln, CSU fought hard against Nebraska with three close doubles matches, a nearly victorious three-set match at the No. 1 singles position and a win at No. 6 singles. But the Rams struggled the following day against a higher-ranked Tulsa team.

Saint Louis (5-3, 0-0 Atlantic 10) comes into the matchup off its first loss since Jan. 24, to Missouri. The Billikens began their season dropping their first two matches, to Arkansas and Oklahoma State. Afterward, Saint Louis bounced back, winning five consecutive matches, four of which were sweeps over its opponents.

Fans are encouraged to come out on Saturday and support the Rams against Saint Louis. Admission is free at Miramont Lifestyle Fitness South, located at 901 Oakridge Drive, behind Sam's Club.
