The Colorado State swimming and diving team defeated Air Force, 148-84 to improve to 5-1 on the season in dual competition.
The Rams claimed the top spot in nine of the 13 events and earned the top two spots in eight events.
Colorado State freshman Alina Roberts completed two individual first place finishes with victories in the 50 and 100 yard Freestyles. Roberts was also a member of the 200 Freestyle Relay that completed the event with the top time in exhibition.
Freshman Amy Abrams and junior Rachelle Kula also recorded two first-place finishes with Abrams winning in the 100 yard Backstroke and Kula placing first in the 100 yard Butterfly. Both swimmers were also part of CSU’s first-place 200 yard Medley Relay team.
Sophomore Chandra Engs finished first in the 1000 yard Freestyle with a time of 10:47.30 while freshman Tara Staley took top honors in the 200 Freestyle (1:58.03).
Freshmen Sara Servold and Elyse Hall rounded out CSU’s winners on the day in the 200 yard IM and 1 meter diving, respectively. Servold was also second in the 100 yard Butterfly (1:00.83) finishing behind teammate Rachelle Kula.
CSU’s Abigail Iler brought home two second-place finishes in the 200 yard IM (2:15.34) and the 100 yard Backstroke (1:02.12).
Colorado State will return to action on Jan. 7 when they compete in the Miami (Fla.) Invite.
