Rams keep momentum at Husker Invite

By Stephanie Anderson Athletic Media Relations LINCOLN, Neb.--CSU Swimming and Diving moved up from fourth place to third place after session 3 of the Husker Invite at Devaney Natatorium with a current score of 426 points. Half-way through the meet and Colorado State has yet to finish lower than fifth place. Rice has been able to maintain their lead with 477.5 points, and North Texas remains in second place with a score of 468 points. Top performances for the day came from the 400 Medley Relay team consisting of Breann Fuller, Nicole Lynch, Nora Kennedy, and Jen Muniz taking second place with a time of 3 minutes, 52.07 seconds. Nora Kennedy continued to have a good day placing third in the 500 Freestyle finishing with a time of 4:59.64. One of the best races of the day came from Jen Muniz who finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.40. Other notable performances were Nicole Kelly's third place finish, scoring 255.65 points.
The Rams continue the Husker Invite with session 4 on Saturday morning with preliminary events for the 400 IM, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Backstroke. Then session 5 resumes Saturday afternoon for the finals for the 200 Medley Relay, 400 IM, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, and the 800 Freestyle Relay.
