Rams start in strong fashion at Husker Invite

LINCOLN, Neb.-- The CSU swimming and diving team finished its first of seven sessions at its four-day meet at the Devaney Natatorium as Nebraska hosts the Husker Invite. The Rams are currently sitting in a fourth place tie with the Huskers, each team with 95 points.

 

The meet only consisted of two events on Day 1, the 1650 Freestyle and 400 Freestyle Relay, and  Colorado State finished in the top five in both events. Maddie Gamble swam the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 17 minutes, 16.01 seconds, finishing in fifth place. The 400 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Breann Fuller, Gisella Cianci, Sam Dole and Jen Muniz finished fourth with a time of 3:31.54


 

 

 

Currently, Rice is in first place with 135 points, followed closely by North Texas with 130 points, and topping of the top three spots with 101 points is Iowa State.

 

Friday, the Rams will compete in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay finals, 500 and 50 Freestyle, and the 200 IM during the morning session, and for the afternoon session they will swim the 500 and 50 Freestyle finals as well as the 200 IM finals.
