FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently honored the Rams with the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team honor for the 2011 spring semester.
Among their hard work in Moby Pool, the 34 athletes that make up the Colorado State swimming and diving team have put in considerable effort in the classroom, accumulating a 3.05 grade-point average.
"I'm extremely proud that our women swimmers and divers continue to hit the books with the same dedication that they bring to the pool."
CSU was ranked among 98 Division I teams, tied with James Madison and Louisiana State. Conference opponent New Mexico was also honored by the CSCAA.
The Scholar All-American Team honor is awarded twice a year, once after each semester. Eligible teams must hold a 3.0 GPA (or converted on a 4.0 scale) or better.
A complete listing of schools in all divisions who have achieved this honor can be found at cscaa.org
