CSU 200 Medley Relay Wins at MWC Championship
The Colorado State 200 Medley Relay team recorded a first-place finish in the opening day of the Mountain West Championships Wednesday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The team of Amy Abrams, Lyndsey McCaslin, Rachelle Kula and Elizabeth Jones finished the race in a time of 1:43.01 to claim CSU's third-consecutive conference championship in the event and their fourth in six years.
The first day of the championships also saw CSU's 800 Freestyle Relay team of Chandra Engs, Jones, Taylor Felton and Tara Staley finish in fourth place with a time of 7:31.85.
Ram freshman Elyse Hall finished 13th in the 1-meter diving with a score of 212.50 while Amber Utesch came in 17th (204.25) and Karin Knudson finished 21st (192.10).
In the team standings, BYU leads with 108 while New Mexico (90), Wyoming (89), Utah (87) and UNLV (84) are right behind the Cougars. CSU sits in sixth with 74 team points.
Competition will resume Thursday at 10 a.m. CT with the 500 Freestyle, 200 IM, 50 Freestyle and 3-Meter Diving.
