CSU looks to build off best start since 2008-09
CSU will conclude fall schedule with challenging meets
Led off for school record 800 Freestyle Relay team (7:22.73)...Personal-best and school-record time in the 400 IM (4:21.91) at the Mountain West Conference championships...Broke personal best in 200 Freestyle (1:51.09) and 200 Fly (2:04.90)...Honored as all-conference in the 400 IM...Named Most Inspirational, Most Improved and Most Valuable Swimmer at the TCU/N. Texas duals...Elected as Most Inspirational Swimmer at the Early Bird Invite...429 points in season.
Two of her best times came from her performance in the 200 IM (2:06.03) and 400 IM (4:28.51) at the Mountain West Conference championships...Scored 248.50 points for the Rams...Voted Most Inspirational for the DU dual.
Finaled in both the 400 IM and 200 Fly to garner two all-conference performances...Also won the consols of the 200 IM...Was the team's high-point scorer at the MWC championships as well as during the dual-meet phase of the season...Swam lifetime bests in the 50, 100 and 200 Freestyles, the 200 and 400 IMs, and the 200 Fly...Voted by her teammates Most Valuable swimmer four times and Most Inspirational swimmer on three occasions...Awarded Most Inspirational overall swimmer at the team's end-of-season spring banquet.
Mullen High School
Received All-America honors in the 100 Fly, as well as the 200 and 400 Medley Relays...Became the first swimmer in 4A high school history to win four events at the state high school championships...Voted team captain her senior year...Lettered all four years of her high school career...Also swam for Foothills Swim Team, and for George Fernandez on the Greenwood Athletic Club team.
Born Aug. 20, 1988...Daughter of Elias and Linda Muniz...Has an older sister, Amanda...Majoring in speech communications at CSU...Full name is Jennifer Nicole Muniz.
