Head swim coach Chris Woodard announced the addition of Kelley McCallum as an assistant swim coach.

McCallum, a native of Atlanta, Ga., was the master's swim coach at the University of Georgia and the school's rec sports facility during the 2007-08 season. She then went on to be the Riverwood High School head swim coach from 2009-10.

With a B.S. in child and family development from Georgia, McCallum coached children ages 5-14 as the Atlanta Athletic Club assistant swim coach in 2008. She focused on different stroke techniques, sportsmanship and fostering a good work ethic. McCallum also organized stroke clinics, teaching proficiency and details of swim technique to advance the athletes to the next level.

McCallum is no stranger to the pool. She swam for the University of Georgia from 2003-07, helping the Bulldogs earn both the 2005 national championship and the 2006 Southeastern Conference title. In high school, McCallum earned both All-America and Scholastic All-America honors.

McCallum expects to make more history with the Rams this season.
