Rams Pick Up Two More Victories in Triple Crown Fall Classic

The Colorado State softball team added two wins on Sunday to finish the weekend 5-0 in the Triple Crown Fall Classic.

The Rams notched two shutouts at Ram Field, defeating Colorado School of Mines and Western Nebraska Community College 1-0 and 11-0, respectively.

Saturday, the squad opened fall action defeating Fort Lewis College, CSU-Pueblo and Regis University. The Rams beat Fort Lewis 5-1, followed by a 8-0 victory over CSU-Pueblo at Ram Field. In the afternoon, Colorado State picked up a 9-6 win over the Regis Rangers at Triple Crown Field.

Tthe Rams will continue fall play when they face Northern Colorado in a double header Friday afternoon, Sept. 29, in Greeley, Colo. beginning at 4 p.m. Colorado State closes the fall season at the University of Nebraska Fall Tournament in Lincoln, Neb., Oct. 7-8.

The spring softball season is set to begin February 8 against New Mexico State in Las Cruces, N.M.
