Nickname: I really don't have an interesting nickname. Some people call me "Chels" or "Bigs." My Dad calls me "Rudy." I'm not sure where he came up with that name.
Favorite food: I really like rice - all types of rice. My aunt gave me a rice cooker a few years ago, and I use it every week.
Favorite Fort Collins hangout: I love walking around Old Town and trying new restaurants when we have a free day. I have hiked Horsetooth a couple of times, and it is really pretty as well.
Favorite spot on campus: I really like the Morgan Library. I usually study in the Anderson Academic Center, so it is nice to study in a different spot on campus. It's fun to people watch there. It is also really cozy.
Something people might not know about you: I used to play the viola. I played for three years.
Best song you are listening to right now: "Sunshine" by Matisyahu. It is happy and has a good beat. It makes me happy when I listen to it.
Favorite softball moment: My sophomore year has been my favorite moment. We made such a leap from my freshman year, and we had so many successes as a team. We were the underdogs, and we were able to finish second in the Mountain West.
Funniest softball memory: I seem to trip a lot - especially in random moments when nothing is really happening. I think I have tripped over the base twice this year - just standing there on defense. It is kind of embarrassing. And when I was young, I was practicing hitting and hit myself in the face with the bat. That was pretty funny.
Hopes/goals for the softball season: Definitely win conference - that is our first and foremost goal. I want to win conference this year and every year.
Place you would like to visit: I really would like to travel around Europe. I would like to see Germany because that is a part of my family history. I have never left the United States, so I would like to venture out.
Summer plans: I would love to get a job close to home (Portland, Ore.) to prepare me for a career. I would like to travel around Oregon and maybe head to Seattle for a Mariners game. And probably go to the beach.
Future plans: I want to have a career in marketing and preferably sports marketing because I would like to stay in the sports world. I would love to work for Nike or Adidas and do sports advertising for their brands.
Fifty years from now, what will you remember about CSU? I will remember softball, of course, but I will definitely remember the town. There is so much to do here, lots of outdoor activities. The whole town buys in to supporting the Rams. With softball, I had the chance to do so much. I will always remember the teams and the traveling we did.
