SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Expecting to play six games over the weekend, including several against some of the top teams in the country, continuous rain forced major shifts to the weekend’s schedule.
CSU’s game Sunday against Utah was canceled, leaving the Rams with a 1-0 record in the San Diego Classic I. CSU defeated Lehigh, 4-1, Saturday morning, having to play the game two hours away in Imperial Valley. The Rams were also scheduled to play BYU, Grand Canyon, Ole Miss and No. 2 Tennessee.
At 8-3, CSU is off to its best start in six seasons, and will bring the hot streak back to Fort Collins, where the Rams will play at Ram Field for the first time this season. The team will host the Colorado State Classic Friday-Sunday (March 7-9), playing six total games against Dayton, Nebraska-Omaha and Southern Utah.
A complete tournament schedule can be found here. Admission to all games is free.
