FORT COLLINS, Colo. –
The Colorado State softball program will host a variety of camps this month for players of all ages.

In addition to its traditional camps, for the first time CSU will host a clinic to help improve players’ short game, including bunting and slap hitting.

Taught by Lauren Schutzler, former member of the U.S. National Softball Team, the two-day clinic will work on bunting and slap hitting, along with footwork and speed. The camp is offered for high school players (grades 9-12) Jan. 18-19, and for younger players (8th grade and younger) Jan. 25-26.

The same weekends, CSU's coaching staff will host clinics for pitchers and catchers, in addition to others.

All camps are $60, and include an Under Armour shirt. Space is limited, and no walk-up registration will be available. To register, or for more information, visit out camps website online.

The CSU softball team begins its 2014 season on Feb. 7, and will host the Colorado State Classic March 7-9 at Ram Field. Admission to all home games is free. The Rams have finished tied for second in the Mountain West each of the past two seasons.
