Rams beat Adams State, MSU-Billings on first day of fall tournament

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State softball team beat the Adams State Grizzlies and the MSU-Billings Yellowjackets on the first day of the Triple Crown Fall Classic. The Rams scored 15 runs on 12 hits in the victory against Adams State and six runs on six hits against MSU-Billings.

Freshman pitcher Kelli Eubanks threw a perfect game for the Rams in the win against the Grizzlies and junior pitcher Rebecca Penland only surrendered three hits to the Yellowjackets in the second game.

The Rams continue fall exhibition in the Triple Crown Fall Classic Sunday when they face Colorado School of Mines at 9 a.m. followed by an 11:30 a.m. start against Regis at Ram Field.
