Played softball and basketball, and ran track for the Berthoud (Colo.) High School Spartans...Earned four varsity letters in softball and three in basketball...Played softball under head coach Dick Klocek...Received all-conference honors in 2008 and 2010, as well as an honorable mention in 2009...Was named all-area, all-state and all-Colorado in 2010...Named all-area and second-team honorable mention in basketball in 2010...Received Offensive Player of the Year awards in basketball in 2009 and 2010...Softball squad was 2010 regional champion and state runner-up...Holds BHS career records for batting average, hits, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, doubles, triples, RBI and home runs...Set career records in doubles, RBI, on-base percentage, home runs and slugging percentage...Was team captain in basketball in 2010 and in both sports in 2011...Received three academic awards for French...Played for the Triple Crown Stars club softball team in Fort Collins...Competed against current CSU teammates Shae Rodriguez, Taylor Hutton and Kali Haas.
