CSU at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate...
Colorado State returns for a second consecutive season to play in the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate.  The Rams turned in one of their top team finishes of the season at last year’s event finishing fourth in the 16-team field in 2011.

Rams familiar with the course...
The Rams’ fourth-place team finish at last year’s tournament was spurred by a fourth-place individual showing by then-sophomore Besty Kelly.  Also returning for a second straight year to compete at the NMSU Golf Course tournament at the Club at Old Hawthorne are sisters Sarah and Emily Roering who finished tied for 13th and tied for 52nd, respectively.

Returning Rams...
Colorado State returns an experienced group of players in 2012-13, with a roster made up of one senior (Cecilie Krefting), four juniors (Betsy Kelly, Emily Roering, Sarah Roering and Christina Spinzig) and a pair of sophomores (Haley King and Jess LaBarbera) with collegiate playing experience.  Mikayla Tatman returns as a redshirt freshman in 2012-13, and true freshman Jordan Carter joins the Rams from Cienega High School in Vail, Ariz.

Success in the classroom...
Two of Colorado State’s key performers, juniors Betsy Kelly and Christina Spinzig, were honored at the end of the 2011-12 season when the duo was named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar list.  In addition, the CSU women’s golf program was recognized (along with CSU’s volleyball program) in June by the NCAA when it released its list of teams for the APR Public Recognition Awards, which highlight programs that have posted multi-year Academic Progress Rating scores in the top 10 percent for their sport. Both CSU programs posted perfect scores of 1,000 for the four-year period from 2007-08 to 2010-11.
