The Rams’ lineup...
Colorado State will use the same lineup that the team opened the season with at Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic for this week’s Johnie Imes Invitational.  Junior Emily Roering will play at the No. 1 position for the Rams for the third straight tournament to open the season.  Juniors Christina Spinzig and Betsy Kelly will play the Nos. 2 and 3 spots for the Rams, while redshirt freshman Mikayla Tatman  will play her third straight tournament at the fourth position.  Sophomore Jessa LaBarbera, who competed as an individual in the Rams’ last outing at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, returns to the lineup at the No. 5 position.

The setting...
The Rams will tee off this week at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo. The course features a par-72 layout that sprawls 6,234 yards.

CSU at the Johnie Imes...
Colorado State returns for a second consecutive season to play in the Johnie Imes Invitational.  The Rams turned in one of their top team finishes of the season at last year’s event finishing fourth in the 15-team field in 2011.

Rams familiar with the course...
The Rams’ fourth-place team finish was spurred by a sixth-place showing by then-sophomore Besty Kelly.  Also returning for a second tournament at the Club at Old Hawthorne are Jessa LaBarbera and Christina Spinzig, who closed last year’s event tied for 62nd and 79th, respectively.

Returning Rams...
Colorado State returns an experienced group of players in 2012-13, with a roster made up of one senior (Cecilie Krefting), four juniors (Betsy Kelly, Emily Roering, Sarah Roering and Christina Spinzig) and a pair of sophomores (Haley King and Jess LaBarbera) with collegiate playing experience.  Mikayla Tatman returns as a redshirt freshman in 2012-13, and true freshman Jordan Carter joins the Rams from Cienega High School in Vail, Ariz.

Success in the classroom...
Two of Colorado State’s key performers, juniors Betsy Kelly and Christina Spinzig, were honored at the end of the 2011-12 season when the duo was named to the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-America Scholar list.  In addition, the CSU women’s golf program was recognized (along with CSU’s volleyball program) in June by the NCAA when it released its list of teams for the APR Public Recognition Awards, which highlight programs that have posted multi-year Academic Progress Rating scores in the top 10 percent for their sport. Both CSU programs posted perfect scores of 1,000 for the four-year period from 2007-08 to 2010-11.
