Rams at the MountainView Collegiate...
The Colorado State women’s golf program has competed in the Mountain View Collegiate in each of the last five seasons. Last season, the Rams finished 15th in the 18-team tournament. Colorado State won the tournament back in 2010, which ranks as the teams best finish in the history of the tournament. Dating back to the inaugural year of the tournament (1999), the Rams have captured seven top-10 team finishes, including three top-five finishes as well. The team didn’t compete in the MountainView Collegiate in 2003 or 2007. Betsy Kelly (2011 and 2012), Emily Roering (2010, 2011, 2012) and Christina Spinzig (2011 and 2010) have all competed in the MountainView Collegiate throughout their careers.  Kelly’s best finish is tied for 57th in 2011, Roering’s best finish was tied for 18th in 2010, and Spnizig’s top finish was a tie for 50th in 2011.

Rams’ last tournament...
Colorado State had its second tournament of the spring, finishing 14th at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational. Betsy Kelly led the Rams as she tied for 55th in the tournament. It is the third time in the last four outings that Kelly has been the Rams’ leading individual leader. The junior out of Forest Lake, Minn. started the tournament with round of 78 and 76 but stumbled in the third round, shooting a 13-over 85. The round of 85 snapped a 14-round streak of sub-80 performances in tournament play. Junior Christina Spinzig finished second for the Rams, coming in with a final score of 243. She improved one stroke in every round (R1 - 82, R2 - 81, R3 - 80). Emily Roering and Jessa LaBarbera tied for 63rd in the tournament with a score of 245.
