The Colorado State women's golf team heads to Oahu, Hawaii on Monday to compete in the 25th annual Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.

The tournament, which is hosted by Hawaii, will take place on the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course located on the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe, Oahu. Bordering the Pacific Ocean, the par-72 course spans across 5,907 yards. On Monday, teams will play 36 holes beginning at 11 a.m. MT with a shotgun start. The final 18 holes will  be played on Tuesday with an 11 a.m. MT shotgun start.

Colorado State will be the only team from the Mountain West Conference competing in Hawaii. The field consists of 16 teams: Fresno State, Hawaii, Hawaii-Hilo, Jackson State, Nevada, Northern Colorado, North Texas, Nova Southeastern, Osaka Gukuin, Rollins College, Sacramento State, San Francisco, Seattle, UTEP and Weber State.
 
The Rams' lineup is Kasey Claussen, Natalie Stone, Melissa Martin, Brianna Espinoza and Emily Roering.

Rams at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational...
CSU did not compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational during the 2008-09 or 2007-08 seasons. The Rams placed fifth during the spring of 2007 (the last time they competed in the tournament).

Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational...
The Colorado State women's golf team struggled again in the short game at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational, falling to 15th in the final standings of team play. They finished with a team score of 953.

Claussen led the Rams on the scoreboard posting final score of 234 (+18), good for a 38th-place tie in the field of 84. Stone finished in a tie for 48th place with an overall score of 236 (+20). Martin and Roering finished at 243 (+27), and Espinoza rounded out the Rams' scorecard with a tournament-tally of 246 (+30).
