The Colorado State women’s golf team will continue the spring season in San Jose, Calif., at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The tournament will take place at the Almaden Golf and Country Club. The facility is a 72-par course that covers 6,121 yards. The teams will play the first 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. MST. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. MST.
Colorado State is one of 12 teams competing in the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational. The teams competing include three teams nationally ranked in the top 25, No. 9 California, No. 22 UC Davis, and in-state rival No. 24 Colorado. Other teams competing are Fresno State, Hawaii, Oregon, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, and Washington.
The Rams' starting lineup is Brianna Espinoza, Betsy Kelly, Cecilie Krefting, Sarah Roering, and Emily Roering.
Rams at the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational…
The Rams struggled in the 2010 Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational finishing the final day in 15th place. California finished in first place with a team total of 899 (+35). In second place was UC Davis, followed by San Jose State in third.
Gold Rush Invitational…
The Rams finished in 10th at the Gold Rush Invitational Feb. 14-15 in Yorba Linda, Calif., with a team total of 971 (+107).
Espinoza led the way for the Rams with a low score of 76 (+4). She finished in the top 20 tied for 18th with a total of 235 (+21).
