Women's golf preview: Rams resume action in Las Vegas

Johnson FORT COLLINS, Colo. -The Colorado State women’s golf team will begin the spring season next week in Boulder City, Nev., at the 11-team UNLV Spring Invitational at Cascata Golf Course. The first round will begin on Monday with an 8 a.m. MST shotgun start, followed immediately by Round 2. The third and final round on Tuesday will also start at 8 a.m. MST. The first round at Cascata Golf Course will play at 6200 yards and par 72. The 11 teams in competition are No. 40 San Diego State, BYU, UC Irvine, North Texas, No. 9 Arizona, Idaho, Louisville, No. 44 New Mexico, New Mexico State and UNLV, in addition to the Rams. Making the trip for the Rams are Brianna Espinoza, Betsy Kelly, Sarah Roering, Christina Spinzig and Jessa LaBarbera. Rams at UNLV Spring Invitational... Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown...
The competition, which included six top-50 teams, proved to be a tough match for the Rams, who had two consecutive top-five finishes before the tournament. Espinoza led the Rams at the Showdown, finishing tied for 31st in the 89-player field. |
