FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Former Colorado State women’s golf captain Stefanie Ferguson was named Best Instructor for Women by Colorado AvidGolfer Magazine last week.

Ferguson, currently the LPGA Lead Instructor at Green Valley Ranch Golf Academy in Denver, Colo., competed in 39 tournaments for the Rams from 2005 to 2009. She was consistently ranked in the top-15 in terms of stroke average and she posted a career-best third-place finish at the 2007 Heather Farr/CU Memorial tournament, carding a three-round total of 219.

After graduating from CSU, Ferguson compiled 20 amateur victories and participated in the 2013 LPGA Championship at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y.

Over 2,000 readers voted in the annual CAGGY awards, which celebrates the best in Colorado golf.
