Next on the tee…
The Colorado State women’s golf team will compete for it’s first time at the Gold Rush Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will take place at the Yorba Linda Country Club, in Yorba Linda, Cali.
The Yorba Linda Country Club is a 6,108-yard, par-72 course. Rounds 1 and 2 will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The final round will take place on Tuesday with a shot gun start at 7:52 a.m. 12 teams will compete in the tournament. The teams participating include BYU, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Gonzaga, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Portland State, San Diego State, San Francisco, and UC Riverside.
The Ram’s starting lineup is Brianna Espinoza, Emily Roering, Sarah Roering, Betsy Kelly, and Cecilie Krefting. Christina Spinzig will compete as an individual.
Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown…
The Rams gave it their all the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, and finished with a team total of 901. CSU Junior Brianna Espinoza led the Rams finishing in the Top-20 with a final score of 291. Second for the Rams was freshman Sarah Roering and Betsy Kelly both finishing tying for 59th.
