CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Poor weather conditions including high wind and heavy rain delayed the completion of the second round of action at the Aztec Spring Invitational on Monday.

"These were some of the toughest conditions that I have ever seen," said Head Coach Angie Hopkins.  "With the rain and the wind, it made it incredibly difficult out there."

Play began as scheduled Monday morning, and was originally delayed for an hour around 1:30 p.m. PT.  Colorado State’s five competitors were among some of the players who were able to finish their rounds after the initial stoppage, but several teams were still on the course when play was halted for the final time and will finish the second round Tuesday before the third round begins with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. PT.

Individual competitors, including CSU's Cecilia Edlund, will not finish the second round or play in the final round.

Scoring for the remainder of the second round and the third round will be available online at www.GolfStat.com.
