Colorado State (7-3, 0-0 MW) welcomes Weber State (4-4, 0-0 Big Sky) on Sunday in the final game of the year. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. MT at Moby Arena (8,745).

After an eight-day break, CSU will take on the Wildcats, who are coming off a 12-day hiatus of their own. Weber State has yet to notch a victory on the road this season.

Dawning a whole new look this season, Head Coach Ryun Williams and the Colorado State women's basketball team have hopes of becoming a top competitor in the Mountain West as Williams begins his second season with the Rams.

The games will be broadcast live on AM 1410 KIIX. Matt Wozniak, now in his fifth season with the Rams, calls all the action. Live game video will also be available via the Mountain West Network at CSURams.com/videos.

About Weber State

  • After a dismal 0-29 record 2012-13 campaign, Head Coach Bethann Ord is beginning to see progress with her team in her third season at the helm. The Wildcats are 4-4 on the year with wins over two Division-II schools and MW foe Air Force (81-69) and Utah Valley (79-64).
  • Two of Weber State's losses came to team receiving votes in the national polls. The Wildcats suffered a 75-55 loss at San Diego at the beginning of this month, and most recently dropped a heartbreaker to BYU, 90-85, at home.
  • In the contest vs. BYU, Weber State was up by as many as 24 points in the early mintues of the second half, but a late run by the Cougars tied the game with 10 seconds remaining. BYU won the game with a late three and two free throws.
  • The Wildcats are plus-30 on the year on the offensive glass, averaging 15.0 o-boards per game. The team also averages 11.9 steals per contest.
  • Like the Rams, Weber State has four players averaging double figures. Desiree Ramos leads the pack, with 14.1 points per game, followed by Regina Okoye (11.7), Jalen Carpenter (11.6) and Amanda Hughes (11.0).
  • Taysia Gray and Carpenter lead the squad defensively, with 8.0 and 7.0 rebounds per game, respectively.

Series vs. the Wildcats

  • Sunday's meeting is the 22nd game between the two schools. CSU and Weber State met every year from 1975-1996, but have only played each other three times since then.
  • The Rams are 9-12 vs. the Wildcats all-time. The last time they played each other was on Dec. 8, 2007 in Ogden. Weber State defeated CSU, 61-50.
  • CSU is on a three-game series win streak on its home court, with a 7-4 mark overall.

A win will...

  • Extend the Rams' win streak to four games overall, and four games at Moby Arena. CSU is 4-1 at home this season.
  • Mark the program's best start since the 2001-02 season when the Rams were 10-1 through 11 games.
  • Tie for the program's most non-conference wins since the 2009-10 season when CSU went 8-6 before Mountain West play began.

Up next...

Colorado State takes a break for the holidays and begins the new year with Mountain West action at San Diego State (2-6) on Jan. 2. Tipoff at Viejas Arena is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.
