FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Looking to continue improving the Colorado State women's basketball program, Head Coach Ryun Williams made another addition to the 2014-15 roster Tuesday. This time in the form of 6 foot, 4 inches center Alana Arias.

Arias, a transfer from Palm Beach State, will come to CSU from Palm Beach State in Lake Worth, Fla., where she is currently a sophomore on the Panthers roster. In her freshman year with the Panthers, Arias started in 25 of 28 games played, averaging 12.7 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and she shot a field-goal percentage of 54.8. In her 2013-14 season thus far, the sophomore currently averages 9.0 points and 4.6 boards per game.

"Alana is a very talented post player," commented Williams. "She has nice skill inside and is also very comfortable playing on the perimeter for 6-4. She will fit nicely with how we play, and comes to us from a highly respected junior college program at Palm Beach State and coach Kris Ruffo."

Over the summer, Arias played for the Brazilian national team in the World Championships Under-19 division.
