CSU women add three recruits for 2012-13 season
Nov. 9, 2011 By Cara Maio FORT COLLINS, Colo.--The Colorado State women's basketball program has signed Courtney Lisowski, Emily Johnson and Caitlin Duffy to National Letters of Intent for the 2012-13 season. Head Coach Kristen Holt made the announcement Wednesday.
Lisowski is a 6-foot wing-guard that hails from Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif. She comes from a high school that was voted No. 3 in the nation by Sports Illustrated and No. 1 program in California. In her first three varsity seasons, her team won two league championships and two section championships. "Courtney is a smart perimeter player that has the ability to knock down the outside shot," said Holt. "She comes from a very good high school program and is used to winning." Johnson, a 5-11 guard, comes from Georgetown (Texas) High School. She averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.2 rebounds per game. During her junior season she averaged 49.1 percent from the field, 40.2 percent beyond the arc, and 74.5 percent from the line.
"Emily is a combo guard that is going to be a very good college player," said Holt. "Emily has good offensive skills and possesses the ability to really shoot the three. Emily also comes from a very successful high school program." Duffy is a 5-11 guard from St. Thomas More High School in Rapid City, S.D. She averaged 19 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. She shot 55.2 percent from the floor and 47.1 percent beyond the arc. "Caitlin is a wing player that knows how to score the basketball," said Holt. "I love her scoring mentality and her tenacious work ethic."
