FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State women’s basketball Head Coach Ryun Williams granted the release of Caitlin Duffy, Gabby Frykbo, Emily Johnson and Kara Spotton at the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year. The announcement was made Friday.

“These young ladies were a big part of this championship season, and we thank them for their efforts,” said Williams. “They want find a better situation that fits, and we support them in finding a place where they can finish off their career the way they want to.”

Duffy, a sophomore, came off the bench playing in all but one game for the Rams last season, averaging 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. She was named the Mountain West’s Sixth Player of the Year.

Frykbo played in 20 games for CSU, averaging 1.7 points in 5.5 minutes per contest, while Johnson played in 18 games, averaging 0.6 points in 5.8 minutes per game. Spotton redshirted her junior season.
