FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The CSU men’s basketball team will be looking for back-to-back home wins for the first time since it opened the season with wins over Montana and Northern Colorado at Moby Arena.
With a win on Tuesday, CSU would also post back-to-back wins at home in conference play for the first time since Feb. 13 and Feb. 24, 2007, when the Rams knocked off TCU and Wyoming at Moby. The game is televised on The Mtn.
The men travel to Laramie, Wyo., Saturday for a 4 p.m. tipoff against the Wyoming Cowboys. Rams fans can watch all the action live on The Mtn.
The Colorado State women’s basketball team continues Mountain West action on Tuesday when the Rams travel down I-25 to face off against the Air Force Falcons. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. MST from Clune Arena. The game is televised on The Mtn.
Colorado State then hosts the rival Wyoming Cowgirls on Saturday at noon at Moby Arena in this season’s first installment of the Border War for the women’s basketball programs.
CSU kicks off its season Saturday and Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich., at the annual Michigan Kickoff Tournament. Like last year, the Rams are expected to face several top 20 opponents.
The Colorado State Rams football team will be honored for its successful season at a celebration on Tuesday night. The special ceremony will be held at halftime of the CSU-Air Force men’s basketball game.
Fans are invited to join Colorado State Head Coach Steve Fairchild and his staff as they discuss the 2009 recruiting class and the upcoming season at the 2009 Ram Roundup recruiting reception Feb. 4 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Hilton Fort Collins. For tickets, or more information, call 970/491-4666.
Fresh off another successful season, the Colorado State volleyball team will be honored at its annual banquet on Jan. 29. The event will take place at the Hilton Fort Collins with a social hour set for 6 p.m. and a dinner auction and program starting at 7 p.m.
