Hot Shooting In Second Half Propels Women's Basketball To 76-51 Win

Final Stats

The Colorado State women's basketball team defeated the Colorado School of Mines Sunday afternoon by a score of 76-51 in the final exhibition game for the Rams.

The Rams were led in scoring by senior Lindsay Thomas who poured in 17 points and grabbed four rebounds. Melissa Dennett (17), Vanessa Espinoza (12) and Liz Kramer (10) all reached double-figures in scoring.

Colorado State struggled from the field in the first half going 11-for-29. However, the Rams picked up the pace in the second half draining 17 of their last 26 shots. Colorado State forced 23 turnovers from the Orediggers and converted them into 23 Ram points.

The Rams will return to action in Moby Arena on Nov. 22 for the season opener with Concordia-St. Paul. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. MT and tickets are available by calling the Colorado State Athletic Box Office at 1-800-491-RAMS or visiting CSURams.com.
