Head Coach Ryun Williams

We played the zone and the match up with more intensity in the first half. If you don’t play with some zip, then they can dice you, and they did that. They got the ball in the high post and really hurt us.

(Over Heimstra, Duffy, and overall play)
“Duffy makes a great and one, and that was big. Meghan does a great job at taking that charge, even though they didn’t call it and it went out of bounds on them, that was a big winning play. We needed to do that. We were a little tired or sloppy, but when the opportunities were there to make some plays, our kids did a good job. We needed to get that win out. You could sense the fatigue coming back from San Diego State, get home early, we were concerned. This is an emotional game for them. When you throw in emotion and some anxiousness, I thought our kids were really anxious early. This is why I think some of why we missed some of that early stuff. “

(Looking ahead)
“UNLV is playing good basketball; I think we’re going to see a little better team than what we saw last time. We’re going to have to handle their athleticism and the pressure that they have on the basketball. We’ll be ready for UNLV; it’ll be a big game for us."
