Next On The Tee
The Rams head to Fairfax, Calif. to participate in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, making their first western trip of the year. Colorado State will again be face-to-face with some of the toughest competition in country, as they look for their first team win of the year. The veteran leadership of seniors Kirby Pettitt and Kory Harrell will be vital as the Rams look to show this up-and-coming program means business. Play will begin the first two rounds Monday Oct. 15 at 9:15 MT time, with the final round being played Tuesday Oct. 16 at 8:45 MT time.
The tournament will be held at the 6,708-yard, par-71 Meadows Club. The Meadows Club was designed by tournament-namesake Alister Mackenzie. After building the Fairfax, Calif., course in 1927, MacKenzie later built Augusta National Golf Club with golf legend Bobby Jones.
As well as the Rams (61), the competition will include top-ranked California, Arizona State (58), BYU (67), Colorado (54), Fresno State (44), Hawaii (NA), Michigan (126), Nevada (100), Oregon (45), Oregon State (36), San Diego State (24), San Francisco (74), San Jose State (106), UC Davis (33) and Wichita State (57).
