Next On The Tee
The Rams, after a stellar performance at the Mark Simpson Invitational, will be looking for their first team win of the year, as they head down to Macon, Georgia to battle some of the toughest competition in college golf. Senior Kirby Pettitt will look to continue his strong play after posting a -14 and claiming the Mark Simpson Invitational, while Parker Edens and Kory Harrell will look to keep their consistent play going. Play will begin at 6:30 a.m. MT time Friday through Sunday.
Constructed in 1961, The Brickyard at Riverside Golf Club was redesigned by tour professional Mark McCumber in 2005. From the championship tees, the course measures 7,128 yards. Mark McCumber's goal was to create eighteen unique holes each of which could arguably be considered "signature holes."
The Rams (63) competition will consist of defending champion Georgia Tech (8), North Florida (13), Georgia (24), Oklahoma (26), Chattanooga (32), Augusta State (44), Virginia Tech (46), College of Charleston (90), Mercer (92), South Florida (97), Georgia State (114), Kansas (131), Air Force (156) and Princeton (179).
