Rams third at Del Walker Intercollegiate

Day 1 Results in PDF Format LONG BEACH, Calif -- The Colorado State men's golf team is in third place, just one stroke off the leaders' pace at the 2007 Del Walker Intercollegiate at the Virginia Country Club in Long Beach, Calif. The Rams shot an even-par 560 through two rounds. Pacific and Houston are tied for the team-lead at 1 under par. The Rams closed Round 1 atop the team leaderboard with a 4-under-par 276. Junior Zen Brown opened the tournament by shooting a 2-under-par 68. Sophomores Bryce Hanstad and Riley Arp each closed round one at 1 under par. Hanstad, the Rams leader in stroke average, shot a 71 in Round 2 and sits in a tie for 11th heading into tomorrow's final round. Sophomore Dustin Morris is tied with Hanstad at even par. Morris, who posted a season-best finish at the Club Glover Intercollegiate earlier this week, bounced back from an opening-round 72, to shoot a 2-under-par 68 in Round 2. 3 Colorado State 276-284--550
