SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.- The Rams shook off yesterday's outing to shoot a 277 (-3) in the final round of the Cowboy Classic.  Colorado State improved by 39 strokes in its last round, and finished with a total team score of 593 (+33), good for a share of ninth place.

Head Coach Christian Newton was extremely pleased with his team's ability to rebound from the strange weather that plagued the Rams in the first round.

"Their backs were against the wall and they responded awesome," said Coach Newton.  "We had a very solid day."

Senior Kirby Pettitt was the most consistent Ram over the last two days, as he followed his 76 (+6) in the first round to shoot a 70 (E) in his last round.  Pettitt finished in a tie of 19th place, as well as being among the leaders in par-3 scoring with a 2.88 average.

Junior Parker Edens had himself a strong comeback, as he recovered from his first round 80 (+10) to shoot an even 70.  Edens was finished with a total score of 150 (+10), good for a share of 47th place.  The most drastic improvement came from sophomore Cameron Harrell, who improved from his first round score by 14 strokes to card a 68 (-2) in his final 18 holes, finishing in 47th with a total score of 150 (+10).

The freshmen Dominic Kieffer and Brett Wilson improved from their first round scores as well.  Kieffer fired a 73 (+3) in his last round, giving him a two-day score of 151 (+11) as he finished in 56th.  Wilson, who was competing as an individual, cut a stroke from his first round total by shooting a 79 (+9) in his last round, as his two-round total of 159 (+19) saw him finish in tied for 105th.
