CSU men's golf tied for 7th after first day of Ron Moore Invitational

Ron Moore Invitational - Day 1 | Individual Tournament Results - Day 1 GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The Colorado State men's golf team fired a 3-under-par 288 in the first round of the Ron Moore Invitational at the 7,015-yard, par-72 Palm Valley Golf Club. The Rams finished Day 1 in a tie for seventh place. Sophomore Dustin Morris leads Colorado State after shooting a 2-under-par 70 to open the tournament. Morris is tied for 19th heading into the second round of play. Sophomore Sean McNamara (71) finished one stroke behind Morris in a tie for 23rd. Junior Zen Brown and sophomore Bryce Hanstad sit at even par in a tie for 32nd to round out the scoring for the Rams. Sophomore Riley Arp carded a 73 (+1) and sits in a tie for 43rd. The University of San Diego sits atop the team standings with a 277 (-11). Freshman Ryan Peterson, competing in his first tournament at Colorado State, finished the first day in a tie for 17th place as part of a separate, individuals tournament. Peterson shot a 3-over-par 75. San Diego's Ian Coffman leads the individual tournament with a 68 (-4). There is a cut to 16 players following tomorrow's individual round. The Rams resume play tomorrow with 18 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m. PT, and conclude play at the Ron Moore Invitational on Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. T 7 Colorado State 285
