PHOENIX, Ariz. - Colorado State earned sixth place at the Ron Moore Invitational hosted by the University of Denver. Zen Brown earned a tie for eighth place after posting three-straight sub-par rounds at the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club.

The Rams carded rounds of 281-289-286 to earn them an 856 three-round total and their ninth-straight top-10 team finish. Zen Brown led the Rams for the sixth time this year. He recorded rounds of 68-71-70 to achieve a 209 three-round total and a tie for eighth place. This marks his seventh top-20 and sixth top-10 finish of the year. Dustin Morris finished six strokes behind brown after posting rounds of 71-73-71 for a 215 three-round total. This led Morris to a tie for 23rd.

Wichita State captured the 17-team field title after shooting rounds of 268-284-279 for a three-round 831. Wichita State was led by Cameron Bishop who posted rounds of 65-72-68 to earn him a 205 three-round total and a second place finish. Bishop tied with Jeff Koprivetz of Denver who shot rounds of 70-68-67=205.

Both Bishop and Koprivetz finished two-strokes behind individual winner Troy Merritt of Boise State. Merritt recorded rounds of 67-68-68 to earn him a 203 three-round total and the win.

Aaron Weston posted rounds of 74-70-72 for a 216 three-round and a tie for 32nd. Derrick Whiting carded rounds of 68-78-73 to earn a 219 three-round total and a tie for 47th. The first round 68 is his season low. Sean McNamara recorded rounds of 75-75-73 for a 223 three-round total and a tie for 69th. Riley Arp, who competed as an individual, tied for 65th after shooting rounds of 71-73-78=222.

The Rams will return to action April 14-15 at the U.S. Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif.
