FORT COLLINS, Colo. - When the Rams kick off against San Jose State at Spartan Stadium on Saturday at 6:07 p.m. (MT), CSU fans can see all the action on ESPN3.com. Trey Bender handles the play-by-play, while former NFL offensive lineman John Fina (Buffalo, Arizona) provides color commentary on the ESPN3 broadcast. ADDITIONAL LINKS NOTES: The Rams (1-1) face the Spartans (1-1) of the Western Athletic Conference for the second year in a row, in advance of San Jose State’s admission into the Mountain West starting next season. CSU holds a 3-2 advantage in the all-time series with SJSU, including a 1-1 split on the Spartans’ home field. San Jose State won last year’s matchup, 38-31, in Fort Collins. Colorado State offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin was head coach at San Jose State from 1997-2000, and was the Spartans’ wide receivers coach from 1980-83. Rams head coach Jim McElwain also returns to a familiar region, having been quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders in 2006.
